Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was proclaimed "Patroness of the Sea Services" in 1977 because of her link to the Navy through her two sons. The public, especially men and women in uniform and their families, is welcome to this annual 3pm Mass in the Basilica honoring those who serve in the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine.
