MOMMY & ME & AN OWL MAKES THREE
Dates: Monthly First Wednesday through October
Description:

First Wednesday of every month starting on March 3rd at 10 am in the Manor Area Visitors Center. It will be appropriate for newborns to children five years of age. Moms and Dads can bond with their young for a 30 to 45 minute program filled with nature –themed stories, songs, puppets, crafts, and a visit from a very special friend. Donations are welcome and a $1.00 fee to cover craft supplies.

Wine Tasting and screening of movie Bottle Shock

In conjunction with Frederick Restaurant Week, the Weinberg Center and the Frederick Wine Trail present a wine tasting and screening of the movie Bottle Shock (2008). Wine tasting is from 5:30-7 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m. Based on a true story, the movie is set in 1976 during the early days of California wine making. $6 adults, $4 students/seniors.

40th ANNUAL MAPLE SYRUP MAKING DEMONSTRATION

Description:

Come welcome spring back to Cunningham Falls State Park by learning about and enjoying Maple Syrup made from trees in the park. Donations are requested and support Friends of Cunningham Falls and Gambrill State Parks. A pancake breakfast will accompany the event for an additional charge from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm.

FCC faculty artist Mary Gresock, soprano, is joined by one of the Washington area's bect known accompanists, George Peachey, in an afternoon of American "musical jewels" by composers born in the USA. Come and enjoy vocal music from "our own backyard," ranging from the poignancy of Lori Laitman and witiness of Libby Larson and Cole Porter to the suprises of Jake Heggie and William Balcom. If you are not prepared for winter hiking, a Blacksmith Demonstration could be the perfect solution for your family's cabin fever. Come enjoy the warmth from our forge as volunteers demonstrate the age-old craft of blacksmithing.
