The American Red Cross Information & History Center showcases an extensive collection of Red Cross uniforms, memorabilia, medals, ribbons, Service to Armed Forces items, printed materials and hundreds of pins, medals, patches and badges.

Downtown Frederick's 44-acre park features a carillon, band shell, tennis courts, softball and baseball field, Culler Lake, a public swimming pool, and numerous playgrounds for children. Park features concerts and children's theater in the summer and numerous outdoor events throughout the year.

This c.1732 Frederick County, Maryland site features an unusual timber-frame and brick building with an interesting variety of early architectural construction techniques and details, an 18th century springhouse, and a smokehouse. The site holds Historic American Building Survey (HABS) status and is protected by a Maryland Historical Trust Deed of Easement. The site is open for special events and by appointment by calling 301/668-2086 or 301/668-6088.

Linganore Winecellars is open year round, nestled amid the rolling hills of Frederick County, on 230 acres of lush soil. The Aellen Family estate is home to Maryland’s 1st Viticultural Area – Berrywine Plantations/ Linganore Winecellars. Our 65+ acre vineyard produce a wide variety of vinifera and hybrid grapes. Located just minutes from Frederick, close to Baltimore, Washington, DC. and Gettysburg, PA. Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Located on the campus of the Maryland School for the Deaf, the Bjorlee Museum is one of Frederick's newest exhibits. The school opened its doors with 34 students in Sept of 1868 and was housed in two Revolutionary War era stone barracks. The remaining Hessian Barracks is adjacent to the museum. The collection begun in 1872 houses school related artifacts, as well as many items of local interest reflecting aspects of Frederick City's long history. Open Tuesday and Thursday, noon-5pm or by appointment, please call in advance.

The C&O Canal National Historic Park Visitor's Center in Brunswick shares the building with the Brunswick Railroad Museum.
