Nestled among 230 acres of rolling countryside; tour, taste, picnic and shop at Maryland's oldest and largest singly owned/operated family winery. Enjoy complimentary tasting of many hand-crafted estate, dinner, fruit, honey and dessert wines.
At Black Ankle Vineyards, we believe that the beautiful rolling hills of Maryland are perfectly suited to yield wines of great complexity, subtlety and nuance—wines that can compare favorably with the finest Europe has to offer. A truly great wine comes only from a truly great vineyard, and we believe that our mix of soils, climate, grape varieties, viticulture, personal commitment, and a bit of magic have been the secret to creating some wonderful wines, but don't take our word for it—come out and try them for yourself.
Serving high-quality craft beer for more than 15 years, Flying Dog Brewery's award-winning "litter of ales" is now available in 45 states. Flying Dog's core value of "purposeful, provocative and irreverence" flows through the veins of the brewery's founding owners, George Stranahan and Richard McIntyre. George and Richard's friends have included "Gonzo Journalist" Hunter S. Thompson, who coined the brand's tagline "Good People Drink Good Beer" and "Gonzo Artist" Ralph Steadman, who illustrates the brand's packaging.
